10 actors you didn't know had famous parents on TV

Some of today's top actors come from a long line of talent.

Sometimes the family business turns out to be showbiz. Some of television's most beloved actors went on to have kids who are just as successful — if not more so.

While watching Happy Days, who would have guessed Richie Cunningham would go on to have a daughter who is a very successful actress. It just goes to show you, today's actors might be producing tomorrow's talent. 

1. Chris Pine and Robert Pine

Chris Pine comes from a long line of famous actors. His father is CHiPs star Robert Pine, and his grandmother is Hollywood scream queen Anne Gwynne. The younger Pine made a name for himself by acting in films, most notably as James T. Kirk in the rebooted Star Trek franchise.

2. Rashida Jones and Peggy Lipton

Before her breakthrough role as Ann Perkins on Parks and Recreation, Jones was best known as the daughter of The Mod Squad's Peggy Lipton and musician Quincy Jones.

3. Lenny Kravitz and Roxie Roker

The famous rocker and actor has roots in television - his mother played Helen Willis on The Jeffersons.Kravitz is also the first cousin once removed of the Today show's Al Roker.

4. Ron Howard - Rance Howard

Although Ron Howard has been the bigger star since his start on The Andy Griffith Show as Opie, his father Rance has appeared all over television. His credits include guest spots on The Andy Griffith Show, That Girl, Gentle Ben, Bonanza, Happy Days and Seinfeld, among many others. 

5. Bryce Dallas Howard - Ron Howard

Despite her father being a massively successful actor and director, Bryce Dallas Howard has held her own in the industry, appearing in popular films like The Help, Spiderman 3 and Jurassic World.

The in-demand TV and film star also has a famous mother. Wanda Ventham has appeared on television programs such as Secret Agent, The Saint and UFO.

The Lost Boys star is the grandson of The Honeymooners star Jackie Gleason. Patric's dad is also actor and playwright Jason Miller, who played the priest in The Exorcist.

Clint Eastwood has many titles (actor, director, producer, and even composer), so it's no surprise his son Scott carries some of that talent in his genes. The younger Eastwood has appeared in several films over the last 10 years.

Jennifer Aniston was no stranger to television when she joined the cast of Friends in 1994. Her father, John Aniston, is a regular on Days of Our Lives and has appeared on shows like Kojak and That Girl.
