You're making a sitcom about World War II — what could go wrong? Well, for starters, motorcyles can knock over prop lampposts, climbers can fall from ropes and cigarette lighters can fail to kick up a flame. All this happens, along with the usual assortment of flubbed lines and stubborn props, in a vintage Hogan's Heroes blooper reel put out by CBS in the 1960s.
Frankly, it's surprising that Werner Klemperer's monocle does not once pop out of his eye socket. Now that's impressive.
We particularly enjoyed the bit where Bob Crane keeps feeding John Banner (Schultz) cake. It's funny stuff, and a nifty peek into the promotional tactic of networks back in the day.
