Got it on the first shot.
You picked the right one!
Correct! Well done! This hip, Hawaiian detective show kicked off in 1968… and aired its final episode on April 5, 1980. A dozen seasons! That's a lot of booking, Danno!

I went through the entire list, after 4 incorrect answers, I just picked at random to see how long they ran.

Bingo!
Though it still surprises me as I do not remember one episode for the late 1970s of a show I use to watch every week.

I got it pretty quickly - I have always been a big fan of the original Hawaii Five-O.

Me too. In fact I'm watching season 6 on DVD now. There was one episode that had Pat Morita, Gregory Sierra and Ron Glass in the same episode. I didn't recognize Ron Glass until I saw his name in the end credits and went back to review it. He was killed off in the episode pretty quickly whereas Gregory Sierra lasted until the end. Perry King was also in one.

Such a great show. Supposedly the new one is good as well, though I've never seen it. Jack Lord was all it...

That was back when Adults were in charge.

I'm a big fan of both, but they are completely different series. Rewatching the original now on the CBS streaming network. It never gets old.
