What a star-spangled feature!
Universal Pictures
As far as horror Westerns go, you'd be hard-pressed to find one with a cast that competes with Curse of the Undead.
There's plenty to celebrate in a movie like this... But we're taking a look at the actors who fill out the credits that run at the end. Because it's a great group, and you'll surely know them from something. So consider this a cheat sheet: Here's where you may have seen the cast of Curse of the Undead in other movies and TV shows.
1. Eric Fleming as Preacher Dan
If you know Westerns on TV, then you know Eric Fleming. He's Gil Favor on Rawhide! Following that show's cancellation, he guest-starred in three episodes of Bonanza. Curse of the Undead was one of only five movies to feature Eric Fleming before his untimely death at just 41 years old.
2. Michael Pate as Drake Robey
Pate is a prolific supporting actor and appeared in numerous Westerns. He was in 5 episodes of The Rifleman, 5 Rawhides, 4 Gunsmokes, 3 episodes of Have Gun — Will Travel, 2 episodes of Wagon Train, and he did a Wild Wild West, too! You might even recognize him as Vittorio from the John Wayne picture Hondo.
3. Kathleen Crowley as Dolores Carter
Speaking of prolific, Kathleen Crowley starred in over 100 movies and TV shows in the 1950s and '60s. Maybe you've seen her in one of her three Perry Mason appearances, or any of the eight she had on Maverick. She was in the beatnik flick The Rebel Set and also starred in The Phantom Stagecoach.
4. John Hoyt as Dr. Carter
John Hoyt was an accomplished Broadway actor before his career landed him in many memorable movies and TV shows. Among them were the films Julius Caesar, Blackboard Jungle, Spartacus, and Cleopatra. On the small screen, Hoyt was Colonel Barker on The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, and starred in Gimme a Break!
5. Bruce Gordon as Buffer
Bruce Gordon was Frank Nitti on The Untouchables. Notably, he previously starred on Broadway alongside Boris Karloff in the original production of Arsenic and Old Lace. He was also in the cult horror classic, Joe Dante's Piranha!
6. Edward Binns as Sheriff
Edward Binns was featured in some of the highest-profile movies on this list. His filmography includes such movies as 12 Angry Men, North by Northwest, Judgement at Nuremberg, and Patton. He was also in the Twilight Zone episodes "I Shot an Arrow into the Air," and "The Long Morrow."

8. Jay Adler as Bartender
Jay Adler is from a big family of actors, so while you may not recognize him, you need only pick another branch on the Adler tree to find a role you're more familiar with. As for Jay, he notably appeared in Stanley Kubrick's The Killing and Jerry Lewis' The Family Jewels. He not only appeared in the pilot episode of The Asphalt Jungle, but also in its theatrically released feature-length adaptation, The Lawbreakers.
