If Archie was here he would definitely call me a meathead for that score.

I liked Edith, but my... I don't know if respect is the right word, but maybe, my good feelings about the actress are dampened from the fact that she didn't much care for the role and even refused to do the Edith voice for Dick Cavett.
I just don't understand actors who try to disavow themselves from characters whom people loved and that made them famous. Tina Louise is another one. For a long time she hated to be associated with her character of Ginger.
I don't hate the actors for how they feel, I can even understand it in a little way because I know they don't like being typecast. But that is the casting directors fault for not seeing them as anything but one particular character, not the character's, or shows, fault. But like I said, I just feel a little less "good" about the actor when they do that.
