Can you match Andy Griffith Show characters to the last thing they ever said?
Who talked about the Italian national anthem? Who complained about the weather in Washington?
It is hard to say goodbye, especially to beloved television characters. Thank goodness for reruns!
For the actors on a show, bidding farewell must be tough. Hopefully, the writers come up with some fantastic final lines for their characters.
The Andy Griffith Show created dozens of colorful characters. The last things they ever said on the show were just as interesting. See if you can match these final lines of dialogue to the correct character. Note: This quiz only pertains to The Andy Griffith Show — the spin-offs Mayberry R.F.D. and Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. are not considered here, nor is the reunion movie.

Who said this before breaking out into song: "And now to climax these festivities the choir would like to sing what I believe is the Italian national anthem. Would you please, Clara?"
-
Who said this to Goober as his final line? "Sure is nice to see your old hairdo back. Brought you over these old comic books. I'm through with 'em. …Aristotle? Oh, well, see ya."
-
He asked to be kept up to date with all this: "…and if Ms. Hook found her Boston bulldog, and who's gettin' married, and who's ailin', and who's born…"
-
This character got philosophical with this line: "Those of us who chart the course of world events shall forever remain nameless."
-
His final line was a heated exchange: "London?! Then your mamma ain't Irish? Then you are a full-blooded Englishman! Lemme at 'im!"
-
Someone said, "Looks like I'm going to be eating a whole lot of Southern-friend chicken à la Bolognese." To which this character said, "Well, it looks like."
-
This character blurted: "Now, I have a plan to capture the criminals. We know they're holed up in the Carson shack. Hey, we got reinforcements! They're five of us now!"
-
This character said, "It's a clear case of police brutality, boy! And we won't let him get away with it! That $200 prize was just an honest mistake. We'll take this to the highest court in the land."
-
She said, "You know, I have a responsibility. I suppose I shouldn't worry, but it's running into quite a bill… Okay, bye bye."
-
This character said, "I'm afraid we're going to have to take this just a might slower."
-
This character said, "Me? President of the United States?! You out of your mind? Well that's really ridiculous. You oughta know with my back problems I could never stand that cold weather in Washington."
-
He said goodbye by saying hello. Hint: He was just waking up from a nap.

10/12. The question about Asa Breeney is incorrect. The Bank Job (season 2), from this that line comes, was in season 2. Asa Breeney's last appearance would have been in season 4's The Shoplifters. The same actor plays Asa Bascomb in a season 5 episode, Barney's Physical.
You got 8 out of 12 - See? It is hard to say goodbye! Or at least know who was saying goodbye. Better luck next time! Not bad but not great either. Interesting quiz, I liked it. I wonder how many of the speakers knew at the time that it would be the last thing they said. Probably not too many of them.
08 for 12. WKRP didn't make the Fall cut so I'm moving over to Antenna TV right after TAGS goes off at 2100.
"The last things they ever said on the show were just as interesting."
If that's the case, how come I only got 4/12?

4/12! These didn't make much sense! For example, why would Opie reference Aristotle to Goober, particularly when discussing comic books?
12/12. Had to give #7 some thought. I couldn't remember the episode for #10, but it was obvious that neither Howard nor Helen would have said "a might slower."
7/12.Wow!Unlike some the TAGS quizzes are probably my favorite, but this one was way harder then I thought is was gonna be.Nice challenge though.👍
