Aunt Bee singin' like a lark,
Had her stuff in the closet,
Hidden in the dark,
Ole Barn was suspicious of the elixer,
I wonder if the stuff and Coke,
Would have made a good mixer (piano interlude)

Missed number 8. I love this one. Aunt bee spinning around on the piano stool is so funny. Ladies Aid getting a snoot full… classic.

10/10 I have to say I think that's one of their funniest episodes. Aunt Bee and her friends let loose singing, being happy, and having a good time; maybe we could all use a little elixir at times. Lol 😄

One of the doctors I see made me take liquid Geritol. (That’s how old I am) The next doctor I saw said “don’t take that, it’s mostly alcohol!” lol. It reminded me of this episode.

Yikes...lol 😄 That was good that your doctor told you about it.

I remember those Geritol commercials on TV. I guess I'm showing my age to. 🤣

Yes, I remember Geritol. I think they used to advertise on the commercials during the Lawrence Welk show.

You must listen to Radio Classics on Sirius XM. That's the main reason I subscribe to Sirius. Here's some my other favorites.Jack Benny , Jack Webb. To me one of the greatest radio actors, Bob Bailey as Johnny Dollar.

I believe he was Paladin on otr.

Bob Bailey is the quintessential Johnny Dollar.

It's my go-to channel when I'm out and about. Jack Benny, Fibber and Molly, Gunsmoke, Suspense, The Shadow, The Whistler, Escape, Lights Out, Superman with Bud Collyer...

I think there was five other actors that played the part of Johnny Dollar during the run of the show. Occasionally radio classics will play an episode featuring the other actors. When they do ,I don't listen to it . No disrespect to them, Bailey owned that character. Just imagine if could been a TV series.

I almost always skip them if they are not Bob Bailey. In fact a few weeks ago I heard one but the actor made Johnny sound like a hard boiled detective. I fell asleep after 5 minutes. 🤭

It would have made a great tv show!
