While it's true that Jubal's hat was getting awful tight, it was not Jubal Foster. Jubal Foster is the man who burned down his own barn with his moonshine still.
Correct! But the writers on TAGS were totally indifferent to consistency. Clara Edwards/Clara Johnson. Emma Brand/Emma Watson. In one episode Floyd had a teenage son, in all the others he was a bachelor with no kids.
Floyd had a son in the episode The Jinx, they talked about him but we didn't see him. He was married to Melba in the episode Quite Sam, mentioned but not seen. Floyd was a widower in the episode Floyd, The Gay Deceiver.
He also had a teenage son in "Those Gossipin Men" and he introduced him to the shoe salesman to have him listen to his musical prowess.
10/10. Let's gas it up chicky

9/10. They may have referred to Burt Mustin as Jubal, but his last name was not Foster. Most of the time, he was Jud Fletcher. The character is only listed as "Jubal " on the IMDB page. Yet another METV mistake.
You're right, Jubal Foster was that mean guy that lied about his barn burnin up.
those names were put into at hat for every TAGS episode and that character was this one and that one and this one ...remember Clara and Bertha Edwards..Asa Baskin and Asa Breen plus some others

I'm sure it was Jubal Beasley, there were only about 10 people with that last name in Mayberry...lol. Goober, Charlie, Juanita, Edgar, Lorraine, Andrew....

7/10 a great episode, but when you think about it, what does the band do when they get to the state capitol? Freddy Fleet won't be there then.
They go back to being the most disgusting band.
How did they get all of them plus their instruments in at creepy looking school bus and why would mayberry need one? Seems every kid walked to school before getting mugged for their milk money
