Pick: Which cereals would you eat in the 1970s?
Grab a spoon and dig into the sugary past.
There is no shortage of cereal options at the grocery store, but we miss so many brands of the past. The cereal of the Seventies was just more fun. (Read: sugary.) The prizes were better, too.
Just take a look at these boxes from that decade. We want to know — which boxes would you buy? Pick a cereal and compare your tastes!
-
Let's start with something fruity. Pour one of these in your bowl.
-
-
Turn your milk into chocolate milk with one of these chocolaty cereals.
-
-
You gotta balance the chocolate with vanilla. Pick one of these Seventies treats.
-
-
Okay, now pick a cereal that sounds like it was invented by a hippie.
-
-
Hmm… something maple or cinnamon would really hit the spot now. Choose one.
-
-
Let's just go for a straight sugar rush. Pick a sugary sugar cereal.
-
-
Fine, after all that sweetness, we'll eat something healthy. Pick one.

What?! No 'Pink Panther Flakes'? I liked those best. But I did like 'Kaboom!', especially since every so often their production line goofed and there were *two* prizes in the box.
My all-time favorite cereal, Fortified Oat Flakes!!! I also loved Kaboom and Cookie Crisp sugar cookie!!!
Oh, my childhood! For me, the title would be, "Which cereals *DID* you eat in the '70s". There were only 3 cereals that I hadn't actually eaten (or at least heard of...you couldn't pay me to eat the healthy stuff when I was 6). You almost killed me with #2; I loved 'em all! #4 was a little hard, too, but the edge definitely went to "Grins etc." A smile in every spoonful! #5 was no contest at all; definitely Cinnamon Crunch! Oh, and, for the record: 55%.
