I would have thought it to be Jeopardy. Anyway, why did they omit the 64 thousand dollar question, Beat the Clock and Truth or consequences? I suppose because they're from the early days of TV.
I picked Jeopardy. Have never seen a single episode of 'The Price is Right' in my life. Second choice would have been Hollywood Squares.
I would go with the original "The Price is Right" from the 1950's!! What prizes they had. No players acting like morons and everyone was dressed to the nines!!
For entertainment I picked Hollywood Squares. For participation, I pick Jeopardy even though it is very hard.
Jeopardy (with Alex Trebek) is and always will be # 1 for me. I grew up watching and then when my daughter was born she watched with me. Dinnertime it was Jeopardy & Wheel. Next would be Wheel of Fortune (with Pat Sajak) followed by Gene Rayburn on Match Game Password Concentration (Alex Trebek) Supermarket Sweep Hollywood Squares The Price is Right (Bob Barker). Some of the newer game shows are pretty good. Get A Clue, Idiotest, America says, Common knowledge. I like ones where I can learn something and have fun doing so.
1% for Concentration???
I love that game. Loved trying to solve the rebus puzzles. Alex Trebek was a great host. God rest his soul.

20% similar.
I chose Match Game. It is my all time favorite game show. It is so fun to play along with. And no timers or anything, just seemed like a relaxed, fun time.
I love Match Game so much that I once sent fan letters to some of the regular panelists with some blue cards I made out of colored paper and made them look , as much as I could, like the cards the celebrities used to write their answers on. And then I asked each one to write their favorite answer on it.
The only one who sent me the card back(with B**bs written on it, in true Brett style) was Brett Somers, who also wrote me a wonderful letter back and an autographed picture. What a nice lady.
Richard Dawson sent me an autographed picture, that honestly looked like it was a copy of a copy of a copy, including the autograph, but at least he sent it. He didn't send the blue card back, and I should have known really that he didn't really have that much love for Match Game after the trouble they gave him when he was trying to get out of his contract so he could start Family Feud, so I really can't fault him for that.
I didn't get anything back from Charles Nelson Reilly, unfortunately.
Card Sharks was another favorite of mine, though not as much as Match Game, because it too was fun to play along with. And also for a sentimental reason, in that my daughter and I used to watch it and we'd play our own simple version of the Card Sharks game with a deck of cards and try to choose if the next card was going to be higher or lower like they did on the show.
