Were these classic episodes of The Andy Griffith Show in color or black-and-white?

Do you dream of Mayberry in black and white or color?

In its sixth season, The Andy Griffith Show moseyed onto our screens in full-color for the first time. Suddenly Opie's hair was red, Andy's uniform was brown, and, of course, the episodes that were already so colorful to begin with just got all the more so!

Today, we want to see if you can tell the difference between great episodes of The Andy Griffith Show you watched in black-and-white from those you saw in stunning color.

Below, scroll through scenes all shown in black and white and rely on your memory to make calls like did that character ever show up in the color episodes? Or did this happen before or after season six?

The biggest Mayberry pros will make no mistakes. Good luck!

Pretty easy: if Opie is young and Barney or Gomer is a regular cast member, it's B&W.

10/10! I know enough about the B/W episodes that I can tell which were not in black and white.
