I chose The Wicker Man. Was going to say The Exorcist but....saw them both as a teen when they were new. A glimpse behind the curtain.

I wish MeTV would include the actually number of people who had voted up to the time you take the quiz. Yes, I know some people take it more than once, but as the total grows, they would be insignificant.

MeTV are you listening??

BTW 100% similar-Exercist, for lack of sleep for the following days. But Jaws for ruining the ocean for me!

The totals might also be from another quiz in the past. Not sure if your 2nd vote counts or not. Though it states 100% similar to the most popular responses. It actually at 49% and easily the top of the list. Some even vote and not reply to their results. The closest next two are at 9 & 10%. It's just basically in the eye of the beholder. Meaning there is no correct answer other then what everyone likes. I have 12 of the movies on the list and like them all. Though Exorcist scared or worried me the most. Jaws was awesome.

The Exorcist. Not sure I'd watch it today. Not into the devil and stuff like that.

To me it was The Exorcist. I have this thing about Devils, spinning heads and the color green. Took me another 25 years after I first saw it to watch it again. The rest of the horror flicks no problemo--100% similar.

👀😬🙈
😈 The Italian Version of THE EXORCIST called "THE ANTICHRIST" (1974) that I saw on TUBI is a crazy outrageous version of our American Exorcist movie. Instead of a teen girl possessed, it is a young woman crippled in a wheelchair who is able to get up and walk only during the times she is possessed by the devil. She was a witch burned at the stake in a previous lifetime. The unforgettable flashback scenes of how she was indoctrinated into that coven during that past lifetime are insane to watch 😱
👀😲😕😬 exit stage right 👉🏻exit out of movie house with demented possessed person showing 💯% adios 🙄 whew............

Not really a fan of any of them, oh well, just my opinion.☺️
Me either. So much violence, bloodshed and barbarism in the news why subject yourself to it in a movie?
I totally agree.

I picked “Halloween”, 70% similar.

A lot of good titles listed. I had to pick "The Exorcist". I was 20 when I first saw it and went to church the next 2 weeks it scared me so.

There was this movie that my older sister and I watched as little kids. It definitely was 70ish. It was about these sort of vampire monks who could find their victims by hearing there heartbeats if the person was hiding from them. It was by far the scariest movie we had ever seen. To this day when we talk about it to others, they have no clue. If anyone here has an idea despite the few clues let me know please 🤔

Priest (2011) is similar. I've seen it.
Vampire Hunters (2003) I have not seen but has a monk or monks in it.
Maybe Vampires (1998)
Not sure of one in the 70's, possible.

By chance was it “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” (1973)? Either way, that one freaked us out.

Hmmm…🤔
I checked it out and no it’s not the movie. Come to think of it these vampire monks kinda reminded me of those spectre kings chasing after Frodo in the Lord of the Rings movies. Cloaked and hooded. I will keep searching, it’s only taken me 40 years 😂. By all means please let me know if you happen upon it. 😃

The movie is Tombs of the Blind Dead.

That is the one! Wow I can’t believe 40 years later I finally got the answer.
Nice work 😄

The Exorcist is to me the scariest movie ever. Me and my friend were 12. Went to the theater for a noon showing. Had to ask a stranger adult to get us in. I was terrified. When the movie was over, we ran home. I hid in my bedroom. I am 65 now and literally never watched it again.

I’m like Betelgeuse: “I’ve only seen ‘The Exorcist’ 167 times…and it keeps getting funnier every single time I see it!”

In all seriousness, I was 13 when it came out, but didn’t see it until I was 18. I don’t think I could have handled it at 13.

Jaws, scared the *#@! out of me, and I'm a Florida boy who grew up swimming in the ocean.
