A great decade for horror!
Nothing is scarier than the stuff we saw young.

20%. Hard to choose, but I picked Jaws because of the lasting effect like thinking about it when going swimming in the ocean.
100% SIMILAR... This was kinda hard to pick just one, these movies are ALL Scary on some levels, but I Really can't deny it, just like everyone else, The Exorcist I found to be the scariest on ALL Levels, Period!!! It's got everything going for it, Gore, Suspense and Good 💯 Horror!!! After watching this movie 🎥🍿 no matter how many times I see it I'm guaranteed a few nights of No Sleep 😴😪!!!
0% similar. I picked The Last House On The Left. I’m not a big believer in the supernatural. People are scary.
It's not a 70's movie, but the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was creepier than Marilyn Manson or Boy George.
100% similar "The Exorcist"
Here's a story that may have been influenced by the movie "The Omen." I was in line at the store to buy something. The man in front of me paid for something, and his change was $6.66. He voiced his displeasure about that, and the cashier gave him an extra penny in change. There's a phobia for this: hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia.

Jaws. 20% similar. Having a basis in reality made it more scary for me.
In Australia the saltwater crocs put them to shame, they swim up fresh water rivers, even 100
miles up, and snatch campers sleeping next to the water. Almost always tourists who ignore
the signs not to do so. The crocs lying still in knee deep water can snatch you unawares.
The good news?
The bodies are usually found as the crocs store them nearby to marinate, usually under a log etc.
Spielberg should make a film about it, instead of Bruce the Shark you'd have Bruce the Croc,
make him an extra large one like in Jaws.
Which reminds me of the classic Monty Python skit, with the Aussies all named Bruce.

I remember watching Johnny Carson the year the movie "Jaws" came out. He showed a picture of a woman walking alone on the beach. He said, "The only person who hasn't seen the movie "Jaws."
