We all remember prominent shows from the 1970s like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, All in the Family and M*A*S*H. Those series were on the cover of TV Guide practically every week.

Other shows scored that prime real estate too, although it didn't help much in the long run. Many of these series were dead on arrival, only lasting one season. Do you remember any of these when they came out? Take a look back with these covers of TV Guide from the 1970s.

I remember quite a few of these. I loved "Blansky's Beauties" and "That's My Mama", and definitely remember "Karen" and "Moving On". I don't know anyone of my generation who didn't know "Phyllis". To be honest, "Friends & Lovers" and "Needles & Pins" were the only ones I'd never at least heard of.
