Betty White believed that getting older only made life better
“As one grows older, one should, hopefully, be accumulating valuable knowledge,” said White.
Betty White never saw aging as a hindrance. Instead, White believed that an older person only became stronger. The sign of someone truly young at heart was their desire to keep moving and remain engaged with the world.
“As one grows older, one should, hopefully, be accumulating valuable knowledge,” said White during an interview with the Jackson County Banner. “I’ve always believed that what we sometimes refer to as a youthful attitude is really a matter of being invested in the world and being involved with it. When you have things to do that you enjoy and that give you a sense of accomplishment, you don’t have to worry about aging; you’re spending too much time living.”
White involved herself in charitable causes like animal activism. As for her career, The Golden Girls star worked to ensure that the characters on the series were accurate representations of older women.
