"He's just the most loving human being."

Being raised in a famous family can feel overwhelming for any child. But growing up, it seemed that Bryce Dallas Howard had no shortage of positive role models in her life. Howard is the daughter of Ron Howard, who previously starred in programs like The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days before pivoting into a very successful directing career.

While Bryce Dallas Howard was allowed to pursue acting at a relatively young age, her parents worked hard to make sure that their children enjoyed a normal upbringing. This included raising them away from Hollywood and encouraging hobbies and activities beyond the entertainment industry.

During a video with PEOPLE, Howard expressed gratitude to the people surrounding her whom she spent her life looking up to.

"I'm a very lucky woman," said Howard. "I have a lot of great men in my life."

In addition to her dynamite father, Bryce Dallas Howard had Henry Winkler, the elder Howard's former Happy Days co-star, as her godfather. After spending so many years together on a television set, Henry Winkler and Ron Howard formed an everlasting bond and remain good friends to this day.

Having spent much of her childhood spending time with Winkler and her godmother, Stacey, Dallas Howard had caught a glimpse of who the actor truly was. She confessed that, however wonderful fans might think Winkler is after watching him on camera, he was even better in real life.

"There's something about Henry Winkler that is very, very magical," said Howard. "He's just the most loving human being, and he is so present. He cares so deeply, and he's also really funny and charming and charismatic and wonderful. He's like a father to me."
