Burt Ward teases upcoming 'Batman' project with Adam West

TV's original Robin spills the beans on an upcoming project with Adam West.

Holy reboot, Batman! Burt Ward is giving us a little more information about the upcoming collaboration between him and Adam West.

Recently, Ward called into 105.7 The FAN in Baltimore to drop some more hints about the upcoming Batman project he's working on with Adam West. He also shared his thoughts on what life was like after the show and what he's been up to lately.

Ward sounded downright giddy about the collaboration, which he says will come out before the end of the year. Although he didn't spill too much information, what he did say makes us excited for what's to come.

Something big is coming out. Adam West and I have rejoined forces after 50 years and something is coming out before the end of the year. All I can tell you is if you took the great stuff we did on 'Batman' and you combine it with some of the stuff that has come out in the feature films since then, the sum of the parts is greater than the individual part.

The new information adds to what West said at Megacon 2016 back in May.

Me and Burt have been working on a new project that's just gonna knock your socks off, and believe me, it's our Batman and Robin.

After Batman wrapped in 1968, Ward stayed busy by appearing in over 40 television specials and movie. However, the actor never strayed too far from the role that made him famous.

Ward has appeared at numerous fan conventions with West, drawing thousands of people and breaking arena records. Ward has also reprised his role for TV specials, variety shows and animated series. The upcoming collaboration certainly wouldn't be his first time donning the yellow cape since the 1960s.

Despite all the commotion surrounding Batman, Ward has found time to support causes he believes in. The actor and his wife recently started a dog rescue shelter in Norco, California. Gentle Giants Rescue has so far saved 15,500 dogs from being put down, and each one has found a loving home as well.

What I like to say is I was the 'Caped Crusader,' and now I am the 'Canine Crusader'...[My wife and I] always have a minimum of 50 dogs in our home.

Will Ward and West team up with the likes of Ben Affleck and Christian Bale for the project? Will it be an animated film or video game? Will it involve the superheroes rescuing dogs? Tune in next time to find out more — same Bat-time same Bat-channel!
