This is it. This is what many people consider to be the final season of the "classic" Andy Griffith Show. Why? Well... A few reasons.
This is the last season with Don Knotts as a regular cast member. After leaving the show, Barney only showed up a few more times as a guest star.
Plus, this is the final season shot in black and white. Don't get us wrong, there's a lot to love about seasons 6-8. But seeing Mayberry in color just feels... different. It's not as cozy.

Concerning Andy Griffiths private life I’m sure it’s not easy being that big of a star with so many expectations and very limited private life. Everything that you do is made public - everybody sees and knows it’s those sort of like living in a fishbowl.

7/10. I missed 2, 3, and 9. I don't know anything about the cars back then.
Skippy, the homewrecker, broke them up. If you notice question #10, it says The Arrest of the Fun Girls was the last episode they appeared together. Guess Thel finally had enough of Bernie’s womanizing ways.

When did Thelma Lou and Barney "break up"? Was there an actual episode where it happened? If there was, I never saw it, I always assumed Betty Lynn just left the show like Elinor Donahue after season 1 (they never explained her character's departure either).
A few articles mentioned that she was under a contract with another show/series as the reason she wasn't permanently signed on to "TAGS."
Barney and Thelma Lou did get married in a reunion show I believe.
Yes they did get married in the movie Return to Mayberry. I love the way the movie ended if you get a chance take a look at it.

9/10 missed the name of the picture hanging over the mantle.
I've never paid attention to the picture, but even if I had, I never heard of any of those names so most likely I still would have gotten it wrong.
