9/10. “West Side Story” is my favorite musical movie. I honestly don’t remember “One Hand, One Heart” though.
9/10 so disappointed I missed one! I love that play/movie/soundtrack. I have the original. Sadly haven't listened to it in years.
10/10. I walked down the aisle to "One Hand/One Heart", and sang it at another wedding. "Quintet" is one of my favorite tracks from the show.
It's funny i just remembered this. In 1980 saw a touring production of West Side Story in Miami Beach. We were sitting in the back part and in the very last row were two elderly men complaining about the show, rather loudly. (Like the two guys on The Muppet Show) They were being shushed, and finally some ushers told them to be quiet, and they did. At intermission they walked around and apologized, it was Jerome Robbins and Leonard Bernstein, if memory serves me correct. It was later reported in the newspaper.
10/10, have seen the movie numerous times and have seen it on stage. When she was in High School, my daughter played a 'Shark' girl in her school's production. The remake was Ok, not great.
"You got 9 out of 10. More like West Side SUCCESS Story!" I missed the last one. Aw shucks! I just don't remember that song being in the film.
8/10 Rita Moreno was terrific in this flick.
She also played a stripper in James Garner's underrated "Marlowe", where Bruce Lee first
made a big impression breaking up Garner's office.
Years later she was in a couple episodes of Rockford Files.
10/10 but I cheated. My high school’s drama club performed this one year. I was in the orchestra
6 of 10. Never saw it
