Alf was "adopted"? I thought they were trying to keep him hid, so why would they "adopt" him? Maybe they used the term loosely and not legally; I'm not a fan of the show so I don't know. But when I think of "adopt," I think of it as a formal legal process.
On my three sons i thought he was their uncle not grandfather
