10/11. “Love is a Many Splendored Thing” was the first soap opera I ever watched.

I remember "Paul Sand in Friends and Lovers". TV Guide promoted it as the new show most likely to become a hit; it was cancelled with only 15 episodes aired.

Sands' friend on the show was played by newcomer Steve Landesberg who got a longer-running gig on "Barney Miller".
