Does anyone remember a book called My Darling My Hamburger? I remember the character was named Liz. She was sixteen.

4/10
As someone who works in a library, and mostly in the children's department, I hang my head in shame.
I've actually never heard of many of these books.

I've never heard of #1 and # 4. The others I'm familiar with. I still have my sister's kiddie lit book from when she took it at Clemson for elementary ed at Clemson. I think May Hill Arbuthnot was the author. My sister became her elementary school's librarian and my daughter is working on her MLS

I was an avid reader when I was in Elementary school. I still am. Does anybody remember the Cowboy Sam, Sailor Jack, Dan Frontier and Herbert Yadon series of books? They were some of my favorites.

It wasn't until my mother became a great-grandmother that she started hunting for the "nurse" books she had grown up on, which were out of print at the time and only started reappearing when the kids were getting too old for them. They featured a character called "Cherry Ames" who was sort of a medical equivalent to Nancy Drew.

Is "A Wrinkle in Time" the same one where they made the movie with a 50-foot Oprah? Glad I didn't have to read that when I was a kid.

I never read it as a kid, either. However my daughter had to read it when she was in school, so I helped her out with it. Did not care for it.

Apparently, the quiz maker has a unique definition of what classic books are
BorisK blackled 9 months ago
The quiz maker is probably 20 or so and googled some old books titles.
