Another episode of everyone having to cater to Barney's fragile, baby like ego. He's a horrible example of a "lawman." Locked himself in jail multitudes of times. In fact EVERY time a prisoner came there Barney somehow let em out due to his complete idiocy. He did nothing....EVER deserving of any praise. And when he got caught screwing everything up he'd mope and pout like a disturbed toddler....and Andy CONSTANTLY would bail him out and always reinforce his ridiculous ego. Teaching Barney nothing. The more I watch the more Barney annoys me...and everyone...especially Andy does him no favors by covering for him and feeding his fragile toddler behavior constantly. Barney was a complete and utter loser and buffoon. But he was hilarious at times like when he tried to recite the constitution....and Andy gave him EVERY WORD. Yes Barney had his hysterical moments....due to his total incompetence and idiocy. Andy even bailed him out in one of the later colored versions....when they were gonna fire him in Raleigh. Barney did NOTHING...EVER deserving of praise that he did on his own. But yes he had his moments of hilarity...but man he was an idiotic buffoon deserving of NOTHING.
Hello. This is a tv show with good actors and story lines.
I too came to realize that same thing on watching syndicated reruns all these years later.
