6/10
Karl Swenson (Mr. McBeevee) was in a lot of classic movies and tv shows up until he died in 1978. He played the drunk in The Birds Movie proclaiming "it's the end of the world"

He was also a regular on little House on the Prairie for four years, he played Lars and by coincidence his character died on the series not to long before he passed away for real.

He was also one of three who played Eddie Haskell's father on "Leave It to Beaver".

I like the scene where Andy finally meets Mr. McBeevee and shakes his hand so hard he almost shakes his arm off

A child coming home with a hatchet from a stranger (or anyone) would be a major concern for me.

Many different things that you can escape into and I think the Andy Griffith show was one of the healthier ways

9/10. Not one of my favorites. I would have loved a scene at the end with Opie finding out his dad now believes him and has met McBeevee. That would have been great. And maybe Barney also meeting him.

10/10 I have never scored 10/10 on any quiz. This was one of those "heartfelt" episodes.
