Though they may be silly, some serious work went into making classic cartoons starring Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and Popeye. The meticulous design shows through in each frame. In our eyes, these wacky works of art stack up against anything hung in a museum.
Most animated shorts were produced by creating the background separate from the characters moving around the foreground and then combining the layers to make the final product.
