Do these things take more or less time than watching all of Gunsmoke?
Guess if these time-consuming activities are longer than every episode put together!
For two whole decades, Gunsmoke was the most reliable scripted show on TV. Episode after episode, season after season it kept chugging along like Festus’ faithful mule, Ruth. It lasted longer than the Beatles, the space race and many other things.
That got us thinking, how long would it take to watch every single episode of Gunsmoke back-to-back? We’ve crunched the numbers and calculated the surprising figure. We can’t reveal it until the end of this quiz, but here’s a hint — it’s measured in days, not hours.
Try to guess if these ten time consuming things would take more or less time than watching all of Gunsmoke and find out exactly how long it would take at the end!

Gunsmoke has 635 episodes — 233 half-hour and 402 hour. Assuming the half-hour episodes are approximately 25 minutes and the hour episodes are approximately 50 minutes, that's 25,925 minutes or 432 hours or 18 days. Is that more or less than you thought?

1. Drive from New York to San Francisco and back.
2. Climb from the basecamp to the top of Mount Everest.
3. Watch every single Alfred Hitchcock film.
4. Complete the entire Tour de France.
5. Take a two week vacation.
I'll leave the rest in reserve for after completing these.
2. There are two base camps on Mount Everest, on opposite sides of the mountains: South Base Camp is in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft) (28°0′26″N 86°51′34″E), while North Base Camp is in Tibet, China at 5,150 metres (16,900 ft) ( WikiMiniAtlas28°8′29″N 86°51′5″E. Just getting to the base camps is a chore. There are no taxi cabs getting to these. You then have to get acclimated to various heights. No way you can make it to the top of Everest without oxygen unless you are a lifetime experienced climber. Then there is the trip and lodging and guides cost. Just a guess $5000-$7500 overall. Do you really wanna go?
3. Stick with the movie quiz and you might end up seeing about half of them. It's free too He made at least 50 movies. A lot binge watching.
4. Tour de France. You need a good bike, conditioning, flight to and from France along with food and lodging. Maybe performance-enhancing drugs if you want a good time . Cost with a one week stay (that's if you can complete the course) You need French wine, escargot and such. Lucky to get out lower then $10,000.
5 Vacation? Those are vacations . You'll need to just stay at home to recuperate.
We all can dream though and it would be nice to complete your bucket list. So just watch The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.....and dream about it
Hey! What happened to Disney World
