Do you remember these fast food chains that no longer exist?

Cheeseburgers are forever.
However, the places that sell cheeseburgers can be distressingly ephemeral. Fast food chains come and fast food chains go. Even the ones we love dearly can pack up shop and leave town at the drop of a hat.
So, let's pay tribute to some bygone eateries. Tell us whether you can recall these chains, and then be sure to share some memories in the comments section below!

The Magic Pan. They specialize in crepes. I was very depressed when they went out of business.
They had GREAT food!

Pup N Taco was mainly in Southern California in the 60’s and 70’s. It was so good, much better than Taco Bell or Del Taco! The thing I remember the best was their grape slushie to drink, I wish I could go back and drink it today!
90% here. Some they did not mention: Carrols (a burger place); Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips; Elby's Big Boy (family dining); and my childhood favorite, Red Barn - I *loved* their kid's chicken meals way back when. 😋

Many I had heard of but never seen in person.
I remember eating at a Burger Queen & a Druthers in KY as a kid. McDonalds used to be good as a kid when they actually cooked them on the big griddle.

100 percent. Sadly, I only remember Burger Chef because of the Burger Chef murders that took place near Indianapolis in November, 1978. Four employees were murdered execution style after a robbery. They had two suspects however they couldn't prove either one of them was guilty. They tore down the place and another business is at the site. There's a memorial of a park bench and four trees for the victims. It is still the greatest unsolved murder case in Indiana history.
60%. I remember D'Angelos too, that was great. The #9 was a staple among my friends and myself. A few of these I never heard of, grew up on the east coast.

Don't forget Bob's Big Boy Burger because I remember this place or something like the place called Happy Steak in Fresno CA but now it's no longer in town.

I'm guessing a lot of these places were regional. I'm a lifelong SoCal resident and haven't heard of most of them. Pup 'n Taco we did have, however.
