As a proud Democrat it’s nice to see he the question about which inauguration he played ! Great musicians don’t play at Republican inauguration in case you don’t believe me look it up ! The Beach Boys don’t count for many many reasons !

Rip It Up is my favorite. Sadly I don't think he ever came to terms with his sexuality. As I understand it his father was a minister and caught him doing something (not sure if it was solo or with a friend) and threw him out of his house and life when he was a teenager. I saw an interview of Little Richard when he was quite old and he said "I'm a sinner, I have done unnatural things but I'll have to answer to God for that and no one else". So much talent and to live with that kind of shame and self loathing all because his father couldn't accept who he was. Just very sad.

8/10. The PBS special about his life was enlightening and depicted his prodigy as an entertainer. One of the original rock and roll stars.

He made an appearance on one of the newer reboot Columbo episodes. He performed Boogie Woogie at some LA night club. I think the episode was called "Murder Of A Rockstar"

8/10. I never knew that Elvis ever performed "Tutti-Frutti" live, only that of "Long Tall Sally". Pat Boone did a cover of that song though - and it didn't sound too good as he couldn't get his lips to move fast enough! 😄
