I have that court room drama in Anatomy of a Murder. Another top movie for me. Lee Remick was also in Wild River. Psychological Thriller Experiment In Terror she plays in we will see soon again.
Know the whole Julius & Ethel saga—they deserved at the very least prison, but got worse. They were guilty. Oppenheimer developed the bomb and then had second thoughts—yet because of that, he suffered no real consequences for handing over secrets in the name of allow the world to have equal footing. A very dangerous fool.
There were plenty of other examples of men who were conscientious objectors, first in WWI, and then in WWII. Alternatives were found for them, including Medal of Honor recipient, Medic Desmond Doss, who refused to touch a rifle already at basic training during WWII. He nearly ended up court-martialed, none of which should have happened since by that point, being a conscientious objector was accepted—not popular, but accepted. For me, as a Historian, remembering and hopefully learning from the past is not only how I made my living as my career, but it’s my life.

Great insights of past history. Which means Bridge of Spies is right up your alley. It takes place of the trial of a Soviet Spy handing secrets to Russia. Tom Hanks is picked to defend him (he does not not want to but more or less has to). This leads to public hate towards him and his family. The man is guilty but Hanks tries 100% not to give him the death penalty. The public wants him offed and you can see the judge is going to give him the DP when sentencing comes around. Hanks does a lot of thinking and came up with an idea. He went to the judges home to talk tom him and states what if one of our spies in the future gets caught and we can use him for a trade. The judge listens but in ones mind he is not going to do that. I think over time the judge thought it over and when the sentencing came he gave him more or less life in prison (I think in the real trial it was 30-45 years.) The ones on the court room were stunned and shouted out their displeasure and he must be executed. This was in 1957. As you well know that in 1962 Frances Gary Powers was shot down over Russia at 70,000 feet and caught. Now the game begins. Hanks had a job to do and did it well. I understood this though my thoughts when I was a child was bent on execution because of the Soviet mania and Americans were scared to death. We all thought of being nuked and toasted in the matter of seconds. Not only that but when Powers was caught one found Ole Nikita Khrushchev taking shoe off and pounding it at the UN *Remember the U2!* or his previous rants of *We Will Bury You* just looking at him was scary 😟. The movie is near top of the movie chain with one Oscar. Most of my feelings now have changed some from when I was young. Those days of crouching under our school desk chairs is a reminder of those times. Not even understanding how powerful one of those attacks could be. It is insanity but its part of life. No one can use nukes or be the next to go if so. In the hands of lunatic leaders it can be more then troublesome. All of us (the world) has to deal with this. I would ban them if could but I can't because I control no one but myself. Again I highly recommend watching the Tom Hanks film.
I'm having thoughts of Movie Quizzes in the future. After this next one I am going to attempt to do All Oscar winning movies during a certain decade. I believe I have all in the 1950's Starting from All About Eve (1950) to Ben-Hur (1959). Looking at the all the ones up for the award I have 40 out of 50 of them.

"You got 10 out of 10 No need to fear! You're a zombie expert!" Well, I should be, after seeing all those Romero movies and listening to the Zombies for all these years.
10/10 A lot of educated guess work got me a perfect score. I am truly surprised that one of the other two big hits that the Zombies had, namely "She's Not There" and "Tell Her No" were not included on this quiz.
8 out of 10. Obviously, some of the more recent Zombies tunes were used in this quiz. I'm a huge fan of the band, not the horror movies.
