Pick one of these things from the past to bring back, the rest get lost forever!
You can only choose one!
The Everett Collection
Here's a topic we hope will spark loads of conversation.
We want to know which bygone ephemera you would choose to use again!
Look, we know we can't fit an entire century's worth of stuff into one poll, so we tried to pull some random things from the past we know you loved. Here's the thing though... You can only pick one!
So, let us know why you made your choice. Oh, and if you choose "Other," you have to let us know what it is. Scout's honor!
(P.S. We're sure that some of these things still exist in some fashion. The point is that they're nowhere near as popular as they used to be. Unless you choose to bring them back!)

Which of these would you resurrect?

The reason I picked what I picked was because I was being selfish. I wasn't around when this was going on and I wanted to know what it was like, so I picked it. Apparently, it got the most votes, so I'm not alone in this. Oh, by the way, I picked the drive-in theater.
100% I'm going with the Drive-In Theaters. I miss these day when I sit on top of the car and watch movies.
There is a drive-in theater several towns away from me, otherwise I might have picked that answer. I went with S&H Green Stamps because I have fond memories of sticking them in the little booklets for my mom and then going with my parents to pick out stuff at the S&H store. 🤑
The last drive-in here closed this year. I know there was still milk delivery here in the past few years. I suppose optimism would be my choice.
When you call a business and a live person answers the phone in real time to assist you.
Other: non-digital broadcast TV. I had a alarm clock-radio that could wake me up to the audio from the local morning news show. When the switch over happened, it became worthless, just repeating over and over that the station was now digital.
Most of that stuff I still have and use. I'm stuck in the 70s. I never did grow up!
Drive-in Theaters, they were so much fun! 🎞️📽️🎙️🚗🍿🍕🍔🌭🍦🍫🍭🥤😊
Unless your buddies vote you in to be "Trunk Boy". That's when one or two of you
sneak in, in the trunk, the savings spent on the snack bar.

I remember when I was a kid back in the 1970s my Mom would collect S &H green stamps and me and my brother would paste them in the books. That was fun. If we could only go back in time. 😥
My mom did too. In fact she got me my first football wit them. We played with that football for years. The laces started falling apart and a few nicks in the leather. I still have it but it doesn't hold air very long. But, just can't get rid of it. It's probably 57 years old.🏈
Mom wouldn't let us paste them after we kids "tried." Turns out there was a limit of 50 points per page & we erroneously wasted some mixing 1s, 10s & 50s on the same pages!
20% similar. I picked S&H Green Stamps. I remember our local Star Market used to give them out, fill the books and redeem them for some really cool stuff.
I have to say optimism. I imagine it was because I was a kid, but I don't remember people being quite as cynical as they seem today. Of course, I could be wrong.
This is a fun quiz. We still have a couple drive in theaters, I get a phone book every year, my husband loves a paper map and the milkman delivers every Thursday. So, I picked a soda jerk. 3%, lol. I almost picked the banana seat because the seat hurts me if we ride longer than a mile.
We had a local drug store that had a soda fountain where I used to spend my allowance on a milkshake and comic book as a kid. Yea great memories of a better time.
A few years ago we went to a drug store in cape may that still had a food counter. You could get ice cream and milkshakes
Did you ever go to a Woolworths and the had a lunch counter? Ours also had a pay bathroom. A nickel to use the bathroom. lol.
We did have a Woolworths when I was a kid. And that's right, I forgot that they did have a lunch counter in the 70s but unfortunately we didn't get to sit at the counter. I don't know about the bathroom though. That's funny that they charged money to use the bathroom. I liked that store; I remember that the store in my town sold parakeets. We would always go there to look at them.🦜
