Pick one of these things from the past to bring back, the rest get lost forever!

You can only choose one!

 The Everett Collection

Here's a topic we hope will spark loads of conversation.

We want to know which bygone ephemera you would choose to use again!

Look, we know we can't fit an entire century's worth of stuff into one poll, so we tried to pull some random things from the past we know you loved. Here's the thing though... You can only pick one!

So, let us know why you made your choice. Oh, and if you choose "Other," you have to let us know what it is. Scout's honor!

(P.S. We're sure that some of these things still exist in some fashion. The point is that they're nowhere near as popular as they used to be. Unless you choose to bring them back!)

  1. Which of these would you resurrect?

Pick one of these things from the past to bring back, the rest get lost forever!

Your Result...

They've still got and sell encyclopedias. But even if they weren't still around that item would probably be last on my list as virtually everything is now online.

Drive in Theatres was my choice, 100% similar! There are still a few in my area that are open and showing movies. The last drive in movie I went to was in 1997 where I saw "Air Force One"!

Tough choice! But we still have a drive-in movie theatre - double screens!

70% similar - more Optimism is needed!

I wish they would bring back the frame styles of past cars but with modern engines. They did it with the Volkswagen beetle but only put the trunk in the back. I would like to see Ford Fairlanes or Chevy models come back with modern engines, of course.

I’d love an updated 65 mustang!

Every Sunday afternoon at grandma's house rain or shine, they were some of the best memories. I think I would take back the whole list and more!! Grants dept store, .10 cent comic books, add your own sugar Kool-aid. I could just go on and on!

Our city still has a two-screen drive-in which has swap meets on the weekend... so my choice is Optimism. :)

There is a very well maintained drive in on Route 66 about 30 minutes from where I live. Concession stand food is fantastic, with reasonable prices. I also chose ‘Optimism’. 😉

Although I would really like a phonebook, I would rather be able to shop at E J Korvettes once again where I could buy a decent set of new stereo components at a decent price.

We still have a drive-in theater where I live, and I am an optimist. It would be nice to have a phonebook, sometimes.

70%. Optimism. Too much to even attempt going into here. I remember drive in theaters, how great they were then. Now? Wouldn't fly. Humanity's been demoralized.
Who'd let their small children walk to the snack stand alone now?
Weird survey.

the kicker is - too many (even 2 are too many) let their alone un-attended

I chose other for a wall phone or the heavy desk phone and the phone book to go with it.
Those were the days. 😊

Optimism died when social media was born.

I see drive-in is the popular choice and definitely get it, but I always fell asleep at those what with staying up so late so I went with green stamps. I remember the tail end of that era and wouldn't mind it coming back.

Drive-in theaters in small modern cars? Seriously?

I said milk man because getting fresh milk delivered to your house from a local Dairy was awesome.
