I don't really consider Forrest Gump to be a comedy. I thought Kingpin would have rated better. Randy Quaid playing as an Amish and Vanessa Angel was really hot in this movie. Forrest Gump is probably one of Tom Hanks best movies.
I gotta say, if you don’t mind a little silliness and a LOT of raunchy humor, Kingpin is a very funny movie. Not as meaningful as The Birdcage, but I picked it anyway because I laughed my a** off all the way through most of it. 🤣
82% similar. Some years were an easy pick, others a lot more difficult. Dumb and Dumber, Office Space, Naked Gun 2 1/2 are on my guilty pleasure list. Love Forrest Gump and A League of Their Own but they don't give me as much of a laugh out loud feeling as deeper emotions. I am not sure they truly belong here.
Out of all these movies, I liked Hot Shots the best. The Sandlot (1993) should have received a mention.

I usually go more for offbeat movies.
British comedies are more my taste.
I did really like The Birdcage for a comedy though. Forrest Gump was a great movie, but not a comedy to me.

65% similar. About question 5 (1995). Since when has the movie "Forrest Gump" been considered a comedy? Sure, there are humorous bits to it, and it's an absolutely fantastic movie, but I really don't think it was billed or created to be a comedy movie. Although it's technically listed as a "drama", I think the word "Mockumentory" fits a bit better. It's a completely fabricated story about the life of a completely fabricated individual. A person could only wish that their life was as interesting as was the life of Forrest Gump.
