Though Farrah Fawcett was living every actor’s dream as one of the stars of Charlie’s Angels, she managed to shock audiences everywhere by leaving the hit series after its first season.

As her own woman, Fawcett took careful consideration with her next career moves.

“I feel more pressure now than ever before,” the actor said during an interview with The Spokesman-Review. “I have more control over my life now, but everything is also a major decision. I have so many responsibilities.”

Not only did Fawcett have various priorities, but she also brought an exceptional level of care to each of her endeavors.

“When I am doing a film, I devote myself to the film,” said Fawcett. “I do a few interviews or anything else. The minute it is over, I’ll tour for Faberge and sit in on some of their meetings. Then I’ll do another Charlie’s Angels.”

It was a rigorous schedule, but one that she found made her better as an actor. “I stay very busy, but I like staying busy,” said Fawcett. “I believe having to stay up every day keeps me sharper.”

Though she returned to Charlie’s Angels as a guest star, Fawcett became one of Hollywood’s most iconic celebrities. It was a level of fame that she had difficulty adjusting to at first.

“Sometimes I get very sad. I just want to go out and be myself,” said the actor. “I would like to just go shopping, or go to the movies and buy popcorn and sit quietly in the audience. But I am constantly watched. Things like going to dinner with friends become very precious.”
