Loretta Swit's real feelings about her co-stars
She didn't mince words!

It doesn't matter what industry you're in or how much money you make. If you're not surrounded by the right people, nothing can make the job worth it. To be near folks who care about you, not just your output, is one of the greatest gifts in any workplace. You want to be comfortable and know that these co-workers have your back. If you've got a sick kid, these are the types that will cover for you while you make sure the little one gets better.
Nothing makes this dynamic clearer than its absence. If you've ever worked in a toxic environment, you know just how damaging a single day can feel, let alone 40 hours a week.
Someone who valued workplace relationships was Loretta Swit. She's spent her career in all different conditions but was most famously part of the 4077th on M*A*S*H. On that show, Swit was Major Margaret Houlihan. While her character may not have fit in with her military cohorts, in real life, Swit got along great with everyone around her.

In a 1973 interview with the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Swit spoke about just how well she liked her coworkers.
"The family feeling of the cast is just about the best-known story in Hollywood," Loretta said. "When we got together this month to start the new season it was like a reunion of school kids— all the hugging, laughing, and screaming.
"We're extraordinarily close because we're all from the theater and lived on the East Coast. So we have a similar approach to our work. We help one another and criticize ourselves to make the show better."
