Hawkeye week — May 1-5
Captain Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye” Pierce is the lead character in the series, and an excellent Army surgeon. Alan Alda was the only actor to appear in every episode, and Alda also has M*A*S*H credits as a writer, director, and creative consultant. He captured several Emmys for the series for directing, acting and writing.

Major Margaret ‘Hot Lips’ Houlihan is a member of the Army Nurse Corps and the unit’s chief nurse. Swit won Supporting Actress Emmys for the role in 1980 and 1982 and was nominated another eight times from 1974 to 1983.

Corporal Walter Eugene O’Reilly earned the nickname “Radar” because he was seemingly endowed with ESP, appearing at his commanding officer’s side before being called, plus superhuman hearing skills that enabled him to detect incoming helicopters before anyone else could. Burghoff won an Emmy for Supporting Actor for the role in 1977.

Yes there are numerous Youtube videos on the setting used for the M*A*S*H exterior scenes. It would be cool if one could see the sound stage at Fox Studios in Century City( where the interior shots were filmed) Unfortunately, the Fox Studios lot is private and not open to the public.
