Miley Cyrus wants to buy The Brady Bunch house
It's either Miley Cyrus or The Wrecking Ball.
Right now, there's a bidding war for The Brady Bunch house, recently put on the market for just over $1.8 million. After it was hinted that the current bidders had plans to potentially demolish this cherished piece of TV history, it seems that at least one former sitcom star seeks to stop a literal wrecking ball from tearing down the Brady home. Our unlikely hero? Miley Cyrus, the pop star who rose to fame as a Disney Channel darling on Hannah Montana then becoming a smashing success as a pop star on the power of hits like "Wrecking Ball."
This weekend, Us Weekly reported that Cyrus was "very interested" in buying the home that served as the exterior of The Brady Bunch house on the 1970s series. As a teen idol rocketed to fame on her own starring sitcom, Cyrus certainly has an idea what the home means to many TV fans who tuned in for many "Sunshine Days" with the Brady clan.
Cyrus is competing now against another teen idol to acquire the home. Member of '90s boy band 'N Sync Lance Bass has made bold declarations to not only buy the Brady home, but also to completely remodel it so that it looks on the inside the way you saw it on TV. In that way, either pop star could go a long way to maintain this beloved nostalgic landmark.
