Patricia Heaton once said her kids were ''over'' Everybody Loves Raymond
Heaton said that her children lived a fairly regular life.
No matter how cool an adult may seem to be to the public, chances are their own children will never find them quite so superior. Though Patricia Heaton was an idol on television, to her children she was simply mom.
When asked whether her children had a soft spot for her sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond, Heaton was candid.
“Oh, they’re over the show,” Heaton said of her sons during an interview with The Flint Journal. “But they like the perks. When I say, ‘Wanna go see a movie?’ they ask, ‘Will we have a limo?’ But they have a pretty normal life.”

The chat around the water cooler can work its way into the script,” said Heaton.
The actor also believed that such connection helped a character like Ray Barone, played by her co-star, Ray Romano.
“There’s nothing in him that’s heroic,” Heaton said of Barone. “In fact, he’s kind of a sad sack. He’s not a superhero but ‘everyman.’ And the show itself is full of love. It isn’t fantasy but how things really are, and we take comfort in that.”
