You can finally own the '80s arcade of your dreams for just $300

Walmart is now selling classic arcade game cabinets.

MY ARCADE / Walmart

How many quarters did you pump into Joust and Centipede? If your answer is more than 1,200, well, you might have been served saving them for three decades. Because Walmart is now offered vintage-style arcade cabinets for $300.

Manufactured by My Arcade, the cabinets bundle popular titles made by Atari, Midway and Capcom. These were some of the most beloved coin-eaters of the 1980s and early '90s. One packages Centipede, Missile Command, Crystal Castles and Millipede. Another has Rampage, Gauntlet, Joust and Defender. Then there are the Asteroids / Major Havok / Lunar Lander / Tempest and Street Fighter II options. The products ship in September.

And, yes, once you purchase them, there is no need to insert a quarter. (Sorry, if you want to charge your friends and neighbors.)

There's one catch in the fine print. These machines stand at just 45.8 inches tall — not six feet — so you'll either have to kneel or stand them on something to get that authentic button-mashing height.

But, hey, 300 bucks is the cost of an XBOX, so perhaps pick one up for the kids.
