A Professor- But Obviously NOT of English…

Yes, it’s nit-picking time in the valley again… had the radio on to a talker I’ve mentioned before who seems to avoid doing his show –prep homework…and he had a guest on, a professor from some university, talking about the political scene. I almost choked on my water when the supposedly learned man spouted that a certain political figure “stoled” the resume of another politician. STOLED? What is he, five years old? And this guy is a PROFESSOR? Lord help his students…I think he “stoled” their tuition money… By the way, my spell-check on my computer is no better- wanting me to write “I think him stoled”…maybe it’s a spell-check from the Bizarro world ( Superman and “Seinfeld” fans might get that…) Lately, I have been getting a lot of e-mails – and questions in person- regarding the sizes of our Sven “glow-in-the-dark” t shirts. People have been asking if we will include larger sizes- 3XL, etc.- and smaller sizes- I.e., kids’ sized shirts. I am hoping that we will be able to do this, but it may take a little time. We’ve even suggested having adult smalls that might be wearable by kids, just to start off. Again, though, getting things like this pushed through takes time- and, even if I want it to happen doesn’t necessarily mean it will- but, we’re hopeful to expand the range of available sizes. By the way- many people may still joke with me about the old “no personal checks” line we used to have in all our t shirt ads- but some people still don’t take it seriously… we pretty much sell all our shirts online, using credit cards, these days (except when we sell them at an appearance- and, keep in mind, we do not sell them at EVERY appearance- it depends on the venue…)- but I will occasionally get an order sent to me via “snail mail” that includes- a personal check. Number one- I personally do NOT have anything to do with handling the orders or processing them- you shouldn’t be sending an order form to me. Secondly- and let me stress this- NO PERSONAL CHECKS!!! Please make a note of it. Thank you. I just read that in the next “Scary Movie” sequel- in keeping with the tradition of bumping off one or two celebrities in a bizarre way in the very first moments of the movie- the name stars getting the axe will be one of the following: a)Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart ; b) Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan; or c)Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin. More information to come soon… Yesterday’s Chicago Tribune had one of those “you come up with a caption” deals for a Scott Stantis cartoon- it depicted a guy and a woman during a raging thunderstorm- sharing their umbrella with- the Creature from the Black Lagoon! I wonder if Scott has been watching a certain Saturday night horror movie show?
