Are We Not Men?! “Island of Lost Souls” Tonight!

It's been a while since we last ran this one- and I know a lot of you have been waiting to see it! Tonight on the Me-TV network, we bring back an early horror classic from outside the Universal studio gates- the chilling "Island of Lost Souls"! There have been many remakes- but this original maintains its creepy atmosphere and the unusual make-up that make this a landmark horror film. Charles Laughton is the smarmy and devious scientist Dr. Moreau who brings a shipwreck survivor to his island compound -for sinister purposes- where he meets the bizarre island inhabitants- including hulking ape men,Bela Lugosi as a furry-faced beast man, and a sexy female who is not what she first seems to be! As the shipwreck victim realizes what the evil scientist is up to- and a small rescue party arrives to bring him home- the island becomes a terrible prison with malevolent mutants gone wild!
