Christmas Memory- or the Lack Thereof

So- I misplaced a gift card. It wasn't a biggie- just a smaller value "thank you" type thing- but- I'll be darned if I know where it is. I guess some of the memory blanks I've had since last year still persist.

However, I will NOT forget to wish all of you a very merry Christmas. It's been a very eventful year- starting with me still sidelined, but coming around  to some great times and surprises. I'll probably save those for upcoming blogs, thinking of the past year as we face a brand spanking new one.

The past few weeks, when I've done my "Sventa Claus" appearances, have been a nice reminder to me of the season- with so many friends and fans coming by, the touching affection and good will we have exchanged, and the positive outlooks we all are sharing, in spite of the many obstacles we all have faced. Pardon me for going all "It's a Wonderful Life" here, but- I truly feel that I am leading a very lucky and wonderful life- even if Clarence appears in the form of a prehistoric rubber chicken whose name rhymes with "Berwyn". The many good friends I have made along the way, the many fine and caring people I am lucky to have working with me, and ,as I've said before- the support of people whom I have often never even met, but who send such heartfelt messages and make a point of watching our shows- often with family members , as a weekly event- is all apart of why I feel like I'm one lucky goolie.

So- let me return all the good wishes and good will to you all- please try to keep this Christmas in your heart and in what you do- be kind to one another, show those you love that you care, treat people with respect-and share the good things we have in our lives, be they few or many. I'm going to donate the amount of that lost gift card to a favorite charity and- should I actually find it- I'll donate the same amount again in gratitude.

Hang up those stockings Christmas eve (yes, take them off first)- and have a nice Christmas!
