Deadly Hassle in the “Black Castle”- Tonight!

Tonight on MeTV- we enter an evil count's stronghold- where mystery and murder abound- where there are deadly traps, scandalous schemes, "living death",and Boris Karloff and Lon Chaney Jr lurking the halls - and they're just the MINOR characters! It's the roach motel of manors- where some go in- and never come out- the "Black Castle"!

A noble gentleman (1950s Robin Hood, Richard Greene) is trying to find what happened to a couple of his friends who have disappeared- and he suspects a count whom he had a run-in with years ago, who may have wanted revenge. He and his manservant travel to  an inn where his pals were last seen- which becomes the site of a confrontation with some associates of one Count Von Bruno- the suspect in question.

Our hero travels to Von Bruno's castle- where there is a lot of suspicious activity- and the Count's lovely and unhappy wife! Invited to partake in a hunting contest, the nobleman finds some dangerous traps in the castle- and some hints that his old friends were possibly done in by the count! The Count's mysterious physician (Karloff) and mute servant (Chaney Jr) keep an eye on the nobleman- but, just when he thinks he has the proof he needs- he must go back to the dangerous lair of the Count- where an escape plan appears to become a death sentence!

"Black Castle'" could be categorized as a sort of 19th Century "Indiana Jones" type story- we'll point out who the familiar faces in the cast are, along with a few jokes you can see driving up Main Street regarding restaurants- and some scenes redone in Svensurround!

"Black Castle" runs tonight on MeTV at 10 pm eastern/pacific, 9 central, or check local listings for time in your area. Chicago viewers get one more look (or not- see, he's...oh, never mind) at "Invisible Man Returns" on our sister station WCIU- the U- at 11 am!
