Dinosaurs! “The Svengoolie Burger Challenge!” -and More in”The Land Unknown”!

Buckle up for some big fun tonight, with big lizards, big burgers, and big names from the world of pro wrestling-as we present "The Land Unknown"!

The movie itself is known, by some, as a prime example of goofy special effects- though they're really not THAT bad! We  meet a team of military experts out to chart areas of Antarctica- including a strange sector where the usually icy waters  are almost tropical! A pretty blonde female reporter joins the 3 man team- as they take off from an ice-breaking destroyer and head for the polar wastelands in a chopper.

As they near that oddly-temperate zone, they get word that a huge storm is coming- but they are past the"point of no return" and will attempt to ride the storm out.They are buffeted by the weather, but seem to be making it through0 until SOMETHING strikes part of the copter, and it plummets down- BELOW sea level- eventually crashing to earth in a foggy uncharted area.

That area turns out to be a tropical prehistoric world, complete with "Jurassic Park"-like denizens! Our crew must battle a variety of  dinosaur creatures, as they seem at a loss to summon help or repair their craft. Things get worse when they discover  there is an additional non- reptilian menace- that stands on two feet!!!

We've got plenty to have fun with in this movie, starring actor Jock Mahoney- we'll tell you  all about him and his cast mates-featuring various degrees of artificial dinosaurs- and, as an additional bonus- footage from our big event last month  at the Squared Circle restaurant in Chicago from the epic battle of man vs food- as iconic wrestling manager Jim Cornette takes on a special eating challenge built around the delicious Svengoolie burger! Our friend the lovely Lisa Marie Varon - Victoria from WWE, Tara from TNA- and owner of the Squared Circle makes sure there's no funny business (wait- on this show, there BETTER be funny business) as Cornette tries to beat the clock with his prodigious appetite! This was a fun event, and we're happy to be able to chronicle this carnivorous competition.

"The Land Unknown" will become known to you tonight at 10 pm eastern/pacific, 9 pm central, and check  your local listings for when it will appear on your Me-TV station. Chicago gets to start its Memorial Day weekend with one more memorable look at the "Deadly Mantis" at 11 am on WCIU, the U!

Also- this afternoon- you can come see me and donate to help kids and young adults fight cancer at a big St. Baldrick's event!  The Riverside Lodge 852 is stepping up with this charity event- and you can come see me, take a photo, get an autograph, and have a great time- while helping to join the kids in their fight. I'm there from noon to 2 pm, and I hope to see you! It all takes place at 40 Forest Ave. in Riverside- not too far from Brookfield Zoo.

Also- thank you for all the kind comments regarding the official "Svengoolie/Rich Koz Day" set for Halloween of this year. Hey- we still have 5 months until it happens!- but, I'm happy that you guys are as excited about it as I am.
