For Whom the Rock Falls- Find Out in “Monolith Monsters”- Tonight!

Posted on February 21, 2015

Beware the falling columns of rock- they're sure to cause destruction and shock! Don't pick up the fragments, because  they might- become  some "Monolith Monsters" tonight!

So much for low-rent poetry- but, get set for a fun science fiction film of the 50s- and one that we get many requests for- as a meteor collides with earth, fracturing into  multiple shards, spread out in the desert. A local government geologist happens to pick one up, not being sure of its origin, and brings it to his office. When a a co-worker returns to the office from a business trip- he finds the office in shambles, and his friend dead- in an almost petrified state! unbeknownst to him, his schoolteacher girlfriend takes some students on a field trip into the desert- where one finds (ahem) an unusual specimen of rock!

Before long, we have more destroyed property, and more cases of petrified people- and, when the geologist and his cohorts finally link the rocks to the problem- they discover  too late what can make the rocks a huge threat to the town and its population!

This 1957 film  has familiar faces in the cast, like Grant Williams and Lola Albright- and we'll  tell you about them and their fellow cast members, along with some uncredited actors you might recognize. Plus- naturally- some Sven fun sure to rock your world!
