Help Preserve the Midway Drive-In!

Technology creeps into all aspects of our lives- even the beloved drive-in movie. With all new films being sent out to theaters in digital form soon -in order for a drive-in to survive- it needs a digital projector, which certainly isn't cheap.

Our friends who run Flashback Weekend also run the Midway Drive-In in Sterling, and they need your help! Here's what their website says:

The Midway Drive-In needs your help to stay open. We need your vote each day for the next month. Honda is giving a free projector to each of the 5 drive-ins that receive the most votes. These projectors cost $80,000 and it is essential to the Midway’s survival since movie studios will stop issuing new movies on 35m film next year. Drive-ins that cannot upgrade to digital projection will die.

So-you can help keep the Midway alive by voting every day, and having your friends vote. The Midway will keep its 35mm projector so they can present classics and old favorites on film- but  they need your vote to help win a digital projector- so, please vote!
