I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus- and Marak Killing Spouse- “I Saw What You Did” Tonight!

Posted on December 20, 2014

Tonight on MeTV- it's a Sven fan favorite- with wacky teen phone pranksters, a murderous stranger, and Joan Crawford -plus the worst cheery 60s music score ever- in the William Castle chiller- '"I Saw What You Did"!

Though devoid of the usual on-screen gimmickry (and cameo) of Castle, this 1965 film is basically a pretty creepy story- innocent teens making prank phone calls accidentally call  a murderer, hinting that they saw what he did (hence the title!) and , through their own adolescent naivete, make matters worse by letting him discover who THEY are!

With mom and dad off visiting friends, gal pals Libby and Kit stay at the remote family home, babysitting Libby's goofy little sister. To amuse themselves, they start doing a series of crank calls (no caller ID then, kids) - and decide it's big fun to call random strangers and say "I saw what you did- and know who you are!" It's a regular riot until they unknowingly dial Mr. Steve Marak- who's fed up with his wife, and plots to get rid of her in the worst way! Add to the turmoil his neighbor, the  arched- eyebrowed  Amy (Joan Crawford)  who wants Steve for herself.

Libby gets a teenage crush on Marak after hearing his voice, and decides they should  try to see what he looks like. From there on, it's  creepy coincidence combined with cold-blooded cunning -that puts the teens and little sister in mortal danger!

As I said, if you get past the strange peppy music  that pops up a few times- and just enjoy the story- you're in for a pretty scary ride. We'll tell you about the teen stars -  and spotlight the haughty Miss Crawford as well. We'll give you a segment after the movie of scenes in "Svensurround",and you just might get a little holiday cheer thrown in (if we're out of Cheer, we'll use Tide)...

"I Saw What You Did" comes calling on MeTV tonight at 10 pm eastern/pacific, 9 central, or check local listings. In Chicago, viewers get one more look at the "Ghost of Frankenstein" on WCIU, the U, at 11 am.

Thanks to everybody who came out to see Sventa Claus this holiday season- we had a great time, and hope you did too!

A final note: regarding the Sven store. I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ORDERS. People have been emailing me , asking if their orders have shipped- and, I honestly don't know, since I don't have any contact with the orders or their fulfillment. There should be a contact e-mail  on either your confirmation or on the ordering page for information . Also, it might help to read  what it says about  it taking 4 to 6 weeks for delivery when demand is high- (sorry, we are not Amazon!) Our people do amazing work, considering the huge bulk of orders coming in from all over the country- and, when the demand is down, try to get the orders out sooner. We are working on ways to speed the process up. I've suggest that, if your order isn't going to arrive by the holiday, you make up your own "Sven gift certificate" that indicates to the person getting the gift that it can be redeemed for the Sven merchandise when it arrives! We appreciate your patronage and your patience,  and want you to get your order as fast as is humanly possible!

Hope you are enjoying your Hanukkah and/ or Christmas season- come back during the week for a few Yuletide thoughts!
