Sven, Ghosts, the Batmobile , “Christine”- and More!

Posted on September 16, 2012

This Saturday, you can have a full day of fun at the famed Volo Auto Museum and Antique Mall-plus- get to meet me- AND be one of the first to take the new Haunted Trolley Tour! Yes, on September 22nd, we begin our yearly Halloween Season Public Appearance Tour in Volo- where we’ll also help kick off this exciting and chilling new attraction at the auto museum! Here’s a little background- there’s a barn on the premises dating back to 1848 that has a history of unusual occurrences. For over 50 years, the family that owns the place, museum staff members, and visitors alike have experienced the sounds of children running and laughing- and some have even reported seeing a Civil War soldier! The Discovery Channel even came out to investigate this farmland, which many say is haunted! They actually caught on tape a shadowy figure “attaching” itself to a piece of furniture! For the first time, the Volo Museum will be conducting its haunted trolley tours, giving you special insight into the areas where the Grams family, for four generations, has seen their resident “ghost”! The sightings have never been sinister, by the way- though they have certainly shaken people up- and now, you can hear all the stories and judge for yourself! I will be signing autographs that day- FOR ONE HOUR ONLY- starting at noon. (I warn you that I’ll only be signing for an hour, so that you can make sure to get in line early, before we have to cut off the line, because – at 1 pm- I’m due to take the first trolley ride! Both that ride and the next, at 2 pm , are already sold out.) I’m looking forward to meeting our fans there, and to get to witness, first-hand, the story of the haunted premises! Please note, there is an admission charge – but, wait until you see everything that includes! Among the cars in the museum are the TV Batmobile and the Bat-Cycle , the Munsters’ Munster Coach AND Grandpa’s Drag-u-la (which you saw on our show in “Munster Go Home”), Speed Racer’s Mach 5, the “Grease Lightning” car from “Grease”, The “Dukes of Hazard” General Lee from the first season of the show, Jake and Elwood’s Bluesmobile, the Ghostbusters’ Ecto 1 ambulance, the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine (zoinks!), Doc Brown’s “Back to the Future” DeLorean (with the flux capacitor!), the Beverly Hillbillies’ truck (Granny’s rocking chair is still on top!)- and even more TV and Hollywood cars- including a new acquisition of the museum- the car from the Stephen King-based movie “Christine”! You’ll even be able to see Pee Wee Herman’s special bike from “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure!” ( Francis may want to buy it- but Pee Wee wanted it in the museum!) Plus- vintage classic cars, military vehicles, and more! That doesn’t even include the famous Volo antique mall (actually, it’s multiple buildings with different malls), full of of fascinating items, and, the Betty Boop Burger Bar and beer garden, open from 11 am to 4 pm! No wonder they call this an all-day adventure! So- I’ll see you there next Saturday- when the Haunted Trolley Tours will begin service ( they will be running from September 22 through October 28th- weekends only- and you can take the tour for only $6 with your paid museum admission.)Don’t miss your chance to meet Vincent, the Ghost Groundskeeper! The tour is rated G, and is suitable for all ages, so you can bring the whole family! For more information, just go to www.volocars.com !
