Sventa Claus Returns to Riverside- Rich Koz Hits a Podcast!

Sventa Claus finally comes to town- if that town is Riverside, Il (right across the street from BERWYN- really!) this Friday evening, December 5th.  The event is the Riverside Holiday Stroll, where all the merchants have special holiday sales and they have special events going on. One of those events is Sventa making his annual visit to the Comic Collector store- 3246 Harlem Avenue. From 6 to 8 pm,  you can get an autograph,take a photo with Sventa, and check out the comics and merchandise available  for the comics fans on your list. (Please not: Sven merchandise will NOT be available.) The store does close at 8 pm- so, come early to make sure you can visit with Sventa!

Also, note that the line, at times, does stretch to the outside of the store- so, just in case, dress warmly! In past years, there have been shuttle buses to bring  you to and from the main downtown Riverside merchants area, so you can enjoy everything going on. Please note- this looks like it may be the only Sventa Claus event open to the public this year- one appearance was cancelled,due to some concerns regarding  security and the lack of space for the turnout at an event that is already booked to capacity with vendors-  and another  special event for a specific organization looks to be almost sold out- if that changes, we'll let you know.

The next day- Saturday the 6th- Sven's alter ego, Rich Koz, will be doing the "Lossano and Friends!" podcast, recorded in the early afternoon at the Museum of Broadcast Communications (yes, the very one that houses the permanent exhibit of the original Sven set and coffin!) and available for your listening pleasure by Saturday evening. (We suggest you listen to it -except when the Sven TV show is airing!) It's a free-form and fun show, hosted by our longtime friend Tony Lossano, who has a long history with Chicago radio , as well as TV's  beloved "Nude Hippo Show" that ran  on various venues. There's a whole group of folks who get involved in the podcast, and it's a lot of laughs- check it out at www.LOSSANO.com , and the podcast will be available on iTunes.
