Upcoming Sven Fun to Brighten Your Day

Posted on October 3, 2017

Several viewers contacted me  to say that their time with Sven is a welcome break from the tragedies and real-life horrors the world has been experiencing. We should all do what we can to make the world a better place- to help our fellow man get through these awful times- and to keep a positive frame of mind as we move forward. If the silliness I provide helps anyone in any way- then it's all worth it.

So- to provide some pleasant diversion- here's a few of our upcoming Sven events that will hopefully make  some moods a little lighter:

I will again do a late night visit with my radio pal, Nick Digilio, Wednesday night/Thursday morning after 2 am central time on WGN radio - 720 AM. Nick wants to talk about some of the events you'll see mentioned here, but I'm sure there will be other fun topics. If you can't listen live, just check at www.wgnradio.com  for the interview to be posted as a podcast within hours of airs!

This Saturday, Oct. 7th, we'll make be signing and posing for pictures at the Chicago Ghost Conference! You can meet lots of authors and investigators of the paranormal, as well as vendors of related merchandise- and me!  I'm there from noon to 2 pm- at the new section of the Brauerhouse -1000 N Rohlwing Road in Lombard!

Next week Friday evening- Friday the 13th-there's a fun event in Valparaiso, Indiana at the Chicago Street Theatre- as I'm the special guest for a pre-show Halloween costume party- followed by a special performance of the musical "Hair"! Dress in your hippie finery or whatever costume you choose- enjoy food and drink, visit with me  for autographs and photos-then dig that trip back to the 70s! The Chicago Street Theatre always puts on a great show- and , for those in Chicago, it's not a long ride  to the hometown of Orville Reddenbacker (there's even a statue of him, sitting on a park bench, not far from the theater!) Come out for the Friday the 13th fun! More info at www.chicagostreet.org

Then- the next day- on Saturday, the 14th- I'll be doing the autograph and photos thing at one of the most famous costume places in Chicago- Fantasy Costumes at 4065 N. Milwaukee Ave. Kill two boos with one stone- get everything you need for your Halloween costume- and see me from 4 to 6 pm! Their website is www.fantasycostumes.com

Right after that,  we rush over to the Logan Arcade 2410 W. Fullerton- for  a brief appearance at C2E2's Monster Bash! Most fans know that we spend time at C2E2 - the big comics and entertainment convention- every spring; and they've decided to have a little Halloween party of their own, with cosplay and more- and, they want to have a special Svengoolie category for the cosplay contest! Here's the deal- so many people seem to dress up as me every Halloween (and other times of the year) that they will have a specific part of the contest- JUST for people dressed as Sven! I'll be hosting that part of the festivities, so,if you'd like to win passes to next year's C2E2-and have a photo taken with me as the winner-  put on your Sven gear and join the fun! A couple important facts:  you MUST "RSVP" and sign up for the contest BEFORE  Saturday the 14th. You can do so at www.c2e2.com - please read all the info there regarding this event. Secondly- this  is one time when, due to time restrictions, there will not be autograph signing or posed photos with me- we're sorry we won't be able to fit that in this time- but, as you can see- you'll have lots of opportunities at various other places coming up.

Okay- that's the first leg of our Halloween tour, with more public and media appearances on the way! You can see  more right under the "appearances" tab here on our site- make sure you check back every so often- there may be some additions!

Oh- and-let's all work for a more positive future. Thank you all.

Will the movie “Salem’s Lot” ever be shown? The 70’s version with David Soul.
That movie scared so bad. Never watched it again. Now I’m older I want to see it again.
