Watch-But Don’t See- Vincent Price in “The Invisible Man Returns”Tonight!

Posted on March 30, 2013

You might search for Easter eggs tomorrow, but you'll have to look for Vincent Price tonight- as he DOESN'T appear on the Svengoolie show in the 1940 film-"The Invisible Man Returns"! Vincent plays the head of a coal mining operation- who is in prison about to be executed for the murder of his brother- which he didn't commit. He gets an unexpected reprieve, thanks to one Dr. Griffin -who uses the same formula his brother created to become invisible to render his friend transparent-and let him escape! The invisible fugitive sets out to expose the true murderer- but risks the same side effect that brought down the first Invisible Man- the drug causes the user to slowly descend into madness! It's a race against time to reveal the real killer before insanity takes over! This is an impressive sequel to the original, and Price is very effective- just like Clause Rains, whose voice was so important in making his character so effective in the first film,Vincent is also well-served by his voice. We'll fill you in on the cast- including a popular actor from the old "Batman" TV series- plus we'll have all the usual Sven fun. "Invisible Man Returns" shows up (here we go again) on Me-TV tonight at 10 pm eastern, 9 pm central,10 pm pacific, or check your local listings for when we're on in your area. In Chicago, you'll see an encore of the popular "Deadly Mantis" at 11 am on the U- WCIU. If you haven't already voted- be advised that the deadline for voting in the famed Rondo horror awards is next week, midnight on April 8th. I'm in the running for favorite horror host- that's category #22. Please vote for as many or as few categories as you wish- they encourage you to cut and paste to make it easy. You can only vote once, and please follow all directions (like including your name), or your vote won't count. If you choose to vote for me- thanks!- BUT- make sure you vote for whoever and whatever your favorites are! Happy Easter to those who are celebrating-and keep in mind that, though similar, Peeps are NOT true rubber chickens.
