Welcome to the new Svengoolie commenting system!

Okay- DON'T PANIC! You're about to find something new at the bottom of the posts on Svengoolie.com — a new commenting system. I know some of you had problems the last time we changed things up, but this should not be too upsetting! Your conversations are a big part of this website, so we worked to make the experience as fun and easy as possible. Plus, you Svengoolie fans are the first to give it a go- this system will soon be used on all our company's websites.

The new system can be found on all new posts going forward. The prior system with your previous comments will remain on older posts for the time being, but I've been told that eventually, they will be phased out.

We want to hear your comments, but first you're going to have to set up a new account. Here's are the few easy steps to get started and customize your profile.

Step 1: Create a New Account 

At the bottom of our newer posts, you will find the new "Post a comment" box. You're going to need to set up an account. You can log in with a Google, Facebook or Twitter account — or sign up through Svengoolie.com. Click the "EMAIL" button to get started.

Step 2: Fill Out the Form

Enter your name, email address and the username you want people to see on comments. Come up with a password. You're going to have to prove you're not a robot. Sorry, robots.

Step 3: Customize Your Account

After you submit the form, you should immediately get a "Svengoolie Registration Confirmation" email in your inbox. It will come from "Svengoolie Confirmation." Click on the link in the email to finish setting up your account.

Bingo! You're ready to start commenting! But you'll probably want to customize your avatar. Click on your red name to open up your account details window.

From there, you can see all of your comments and view your settings in the "Settings" tab. Go there if you want to change your password.

But first, we're going to change our avatar. To do that, click "Update Image" under my face.

Step 5: Choose Your Own Avatar

That will open up a new window. Click "Choose File" if you want to update your own image — or you can choose one of our many handsome options.

That's all there is to it! Start commenting and keep it fun.

Update: We made a change that hopefully solves some of the problems people were having with image uploads.  If you're still having problems, please let us know either in the comments below or through the contact form.
