Are these songs from the '60s, the '70s, or the '80s?

We'll name a song, you pick the decade!

This quiz is pretty self-explanatory.

We'll name a big, hit song, and then it's your job to tell us which decade it came from. We'll even throw in the act that recorded the song!

Three distinct decades, right? Should be pretty easy. Well, give it a shot, and be sure to share your score in the comments section below!

  1. Jean Knight - "Mr. Big Stuff"
  2. Chaka Khan - "I Feel for You"
  3. James Brown - "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag"
  4. Neil Diamond - "Sweet Caroline"
  5. Fleetwood Mac - "Everywhere"
  6. Aretha Franklin - "Who’s Zoomin’ Who"
  7. Vicki Sue Robinson - "Turn the Beat Around"
  8. Donovan - "Sunshine Superman"
  9. The Staple Singers - "I'll Take You There"
  10. The Temptations - "Papa Was a Rolling Stone"
  11. The Go-Go's - "Vacation"
  12. Elvis Presley - "Return to Sender"
  13. Sly and the Family Stone - "Everyday People"
  14. Johnny Cash - "A Boy Named Sue"
  15. Michael Jackson - "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough"

Are these songs from the '60s, the '70s, or the '80s?

10/15
Knew all the songs & artists this time but didn't do well on the borderline dates like 1969/1970.

Thanks for that information. I certainly remember that album well.

For some odd reason I thought Fleetwood Mac’s song “Everywhere” was a late 70’s song.

Like FLETCH, I thot Sweet Caroline was from the 70's, I did my Neil Diamond impersonation thru the 70's, but yeah, I think Sweet Caroline was one of his first big hits. I got 9/15, coz I put several borderline earlier songs in the next decade. Oh well...

It was Neil's first Top 10 on Uni Records, he's had several big hits in the late 60s on Bang Records, "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon", "Kentucky Woman", "Cherry Cherry".

13/15 Missed 4. I thought Sweet Caroline was from 1970. Missed 9 because I can't remember the song.

How many times do you take the quiz before you post the score?

Probably quite a few in order to get a perfect score!

Jealousy is an ugly thing. And so are you in anything backless. (Sophia to Dorothy on "The Golden Girls"). A Perfect score on an MeTV test? That's like an elephant squirting water from its trunk.
